Google Meet Grid View Extensions. (That Work!)

Google Meet Grid View

There have been a lot of Grid View extensions over the past few months. Google even added their own Grid/Tiled view native to the Google Meet conferencing tool. That update, however, only allows sixteen people (max) at the moment. Rumors are this will happen in September:

Launching in September

  • A larger tiled views with a 7×7 grid so you can see up to 49 students at once
  • A collaborative whiteboard with Jamboard in Meet so you can encourage students to share ideas and try creative approaches to lessons

Until then, we are on our own. The following two Grid View extensions allow the host and participants to view more than 40 people in a Google Meet.
