How Was Your Break?

It was the standard conversation among adults and kids throughout the building today. For me it was a chance to have a personal and intimate conversation with my coworkers and find out a little bit more about them their immediate family, and for some, their extended family.

It also gave me a chance to share a little about my young family and some of our traditions.

These moments happen often, but there is so much more to talk about after a long Holiday break, as opposed to a short weekend. I am lucky to work with great people who care about my family and me.

These small moments are some of the ways that culture, trust, and love are cultivated in a school environment. The kids were excited about new clothes, phones, shoes, headphones, and got even more excited when someone noticed and asked them about it. It’s a cool time of year.
