If I didn’t get in trouble in 8th grade
This week I received a letter from a former student. Not a student I had as a teacher, but one I had as an administrator.
It reads.
Dear Campbell,
I don’t know if I have ever told you this or not, but you were there for me. At what was one of my lowest points. You actually cared. You would talk to me when you saw me in the hall, and if I needed something you were there. And to think all of this wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t get in trouble in 8th grade.
You were ultimately the best teacher/administrator I have ever had in my entire life. And I call you a teacher because honestly you helped me learn so many life skills.
Just talking to you made me feel better and I knew you were there if I needed you, because when things got tough and I needed you, you were there. You are amazing at your job and a great friend. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without you.
Middle school was the best time of my life, I made so many memories and I can promise you that I will never forget you or all the awesome memories I made there. Because “It’s Always a great day to be a Wapiti.”
Thank you for Everything,
Love-
