Where Do Zoom Recordings Go

When you record a Zoom meeting, the recordings are typically saved to a specific location on your computer or the cloud, depending on your settings. By default, Zoom saves the recordings on your local machine. The exact location may vary depending on your operating system.

The default recording location for Windows users is the “Documents” folder, specifically within a subfolder called “Zoom.” The file format of the recording is usually an MP4 video file.

For Mac users, Zoom recordings are saved to the “Documents” folder by default, inside a subfolder named “Zoom” or “Zoom Recordings.”

Alternatively, you can choose a different location to save your recordings by adjusting the settings within the Zoom application. In the Zoom settings, navigate to the “Recording” tab, and you’ll find the option to change the default recording location.

If you have enabled cloud recording in Zoom, the recordings will be stored in the cloud, typically on the Zoom servers. You can access and manage these cloud recordings through the Zoom web portal or the Zoom desktop application.

Remember to check your Zoom settings to verify the recordings’ default location or modify it according to your preferences.
